34.Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the

tabernacle.

35.Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled upon it,

and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle

 

구름이 하나님의 임재를 상징하는 것 같다.

구름 때문에 즉, 하나님의 임재가 너무나 강력해서 경외심때문인지 두려움 때문인지 모세는 회막에 들어갈 수 없었고 후대에 솔로몬 성전에서는 제사장들이 섬기는 일을 할 수 없었다.

대하 5:13~14절에 비슷한 내용이 나온다.

 

13.The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: "He is good; his love endures forever." Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud,

14.and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.

 

출애굽기에서는 회막공사를 마쳤을 때 이런 일이 일어났고 역대하에서는 성전에서 음악가들이 찬양할 때 구름이 가득찼다.

하나님의 강력한 임재는 인간에게 경외심과 감동, 그리고 두려움을 경험하게 하는 것 같다.
